On 7th June, 2024, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Laban P. Ayiro met with Daystar University Students Association (DUSA) to address various student concerns and enhance the University's academic environment through open dialogue and mutual understanding.

On 7th June, 2024, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Laban P. Ayiro met with Daystar University Students Association (DUSA) to address various student concerns and enhance the University's academic environment through open dialogue and mutual understanding.
The purpose of the meeting was to present plans for the 2024-2025 academic year. The meeting gave a platform for student leaders to articulate students’ perspectives and priorities to the Vice Chancellor.
During the meeting, a range of topics were discussed, including academic policies, campus facilities, student welfare initiatives, and extra-curricular opportunities.
In response, the VC stated his commitment to the students’ representatives and expressed his desire to be involved in their personal lives. He also promised to visit different Schools.
The Vice Chancellor revealed the University’s intention of intensifying academics, focusing on the boy child by creating a men's club, and establishing a club to promote reading. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of leadership in the Daystar Christian Fellowship.
The student leaders left the meeting assured that the Vice Chancellor would pay attention to students’ concerns.
