September 2022 ISADU City Tour

At the beginning of every semester, Student Placement and International Relations Officer (SPIRO) office organizes a tour of Nairobi City to enable new international students familiarize themselves with their new home country.

At the beginning of every semester, Student Placement and International Relations Officer (SPIRO) office organizes a tour of Nairobi City to enable new international students familiarize themselves with their new home country.
The city tour for the September 2022 semester took place on 1st October, with 25 students participating in a guided tour of Nairobi, led by head of SPIRO Mrs. Nita Kihiro, her assistant Mr. Daniel Kimole and older international students.
Places visited included: Mamba Village, Nyayo House which houses the Immigration Department, the Helipad at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) for a panoramic aerial view of the city, and The Kenya National Museums, among others.
The students, who flew their respective country flags, enjoyed various fun activities including boat rides and horse rides among others.
They were also shown the location of several embassies, on the way to Two Rivers shopping mall which was their final destination before going back to campus.
The countries represented were Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Malawi, Burkina Faso, South Sudan and the host country, Kenya.
