Daystar University Law students finished 4th among 51 English teams in the semi-finals of the Christof Hynes All Africa Human Rights Moot Competition, in Kigali Rwanda.

Team Daystar lost to Ebonyi State University, Nigeria which jointly with Midland State University, Zimbabwe (respondents) won this year's 33rd Christof Hynes Moot Competition against Applicants, the University of Nairobi, and Université Thomas Sankara, from Burkina Faso (a French Team). 

As part of the moot's tradition, 4 teams went to the finals comprising of 3 English teams and 1 French team paired in twos. By finishing 4th amongst English teams, Daystar University team was knocked out of the finals by the top 3 English teams. 

On the memorial categories, Daystar University team won both Applicant and respondent memorials awards. Additionally, the stellar performance of our team attracted several honorable mentions including a mention on being the first-time team finishing in the top 4 spot and winning memorials and the youngest law school among universities. The Daystar University team was represented by:
