The Daystar University Student Association swore in a new student government in mid April following elections.
The Daystar University Student Association swore in a new student government in mid April following elections.
The new team comprises: Mr. Felix Ochieng as President,
Miss Nicole Wanyancha (Deputy President), Mr. Collins Odhiambo (Secretary General), Mr. Benedict Sogomi (Governor Nairobi), Mr. Gabriel Ekusi (Governor Athi River), Mr. William Deng (ISADU Chair), and Miss Tracy Mutwa (Treasurer).
The team took over from Geoffrey Tum team that comprised, Geoffrey Tum who was President, Miss Buka Halkano (Deputy President), Mr. Newton Kamuyu (Secretary General), Mr. Ken Andrew Muganda (Governor Nairobi Campus), Mr. Laban Choti (Governor Athi River Campus),
Miss Achol Elizabeth (ISADU Chair), and Mr David Prest (Treasurer).
DUSA Council being swon in
The team was sworn in on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Nairobi Campus DAC Auditorium by Dr. Benjamin Musau, Managing Partner of
B.M. Musau & Co., Advocates LLP andPart time Lecturer, School of Law.
Present to witness the swearing in was the Acting Vice-chancellor and DVC Academic Prof. Faith Nguru, DVC-FAP Prof Muturi Wachira, Principal, Nairobi Campus Prof. Michael Bowen, Dean of Students Rev. Mutinda Musyimi, Assistant Chaplain, Ms. Rachel Ngugi and the outgoing DUSA Council led by the President Mr.Tum.
The team will be in office for the next one year.
